Toroidal transformers
The core of a toroidal transformer consists of one continuous band of iron,
which has been transformed into a ring. The conductive windings are placed over this ring.
Construction of the toroidal transformer
A toroidal transformer has less (heat) losses, but is more expensive to make
due to the method of winding the coils used. The toroidal core has a better shape
magnetic circuit which reduces the effect of the stray field.
